Taransay Scarf

Our Taransay scarf is as Scottish as they come. It is essentially a Black Watch tartan and the blues, greens and blacks contained within it are incredibly nuanced. The worsted wool looks very sophisticated and in direct light it really comes alive as the colours suddenly become distinct and vivid. Unlike some of our other scarves, which look even better when worn with certain types of clothing, the Taransay really is for all occasions. In fact, if you’re new to wearing tartan, it acts as a great introduction into the field. It’s named after an icon of the Islands, Taransay, which happens to be the largest uninhabited island in Scotland.

As with all our scarves, the Taransay is:

·         100% worsted wool – a breathable material

·         Woven in Scotland

·         Hand cut & sewn in Scotland

·         Sewn over at the edges

·         Measures c.150cm x c.30cm

We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours.

PLEASE NOTE – Due to the nature of the worsted material, you will need to use the scarf for around two weeks before it becomes very soft to the touch. I assure you that this is well worth waiting for.
