What's our Udrigle Worsted Wool Scarf named after?

by Malcolm Mowat's

Our Udrigle scarf is named after Mellon Udrigle; a delightfully named beach in Wester Ross, Scotland.

Mellon Udrigle was recently named the 15th ‘Best Beach’ in the United Kingdom by The Sunday Times. To those who know this beach, this came as no surprise. Indeed, many people become so attached to it that they come to view the place as their spiritual home.

Mellon Udrigle is located to the west of Greenstone Point and its white sand and truly epic views mean that annually you will hear of people getting married on the beach, people having their ashes scattered on the beach and people falling in love with this part of Scotland whilst watching the sun set over this beach. This is quite an achievement considering that Mellon Udrigle is over two hours from the nearest city (Inverness).

On the online photo sharing platform named Flickr, pictures of Mellon Udrigle have garnered thousands of admiring views and comments. The beauty of this National Scenic Area is quite spectacular. When you are next in Scotland you really must make the effort to come and visit this beach; you will not regret it.

Our Udrigle scarf is a real classic. It’s handmade, it’s bright red, it’s lightweight and it only costs £35!

Please feel free to have a look at it here:

Best wishes,
